This is photo #40 (of 50) in a series about life in Brazil. It isn’t exactly a picture of what you might see here, but it highlights a cultural difference. When our Brazilian friends returned from their trip to Cancun, they told us they could always spot the Americans on the beach. They were the only ones READING. Why on earth would anyone go to the beach to read, they wanted to know. I had a hard time explaining.
