This is photo #41 (of 50) in a series about life in Brazil. In more rural parts of Brazil many homes come equipped with multiple hammock hooks. The hammocks are not just for relaxing, but function as extra beds. We knew of a family with ten children who lived in a two-bedroom house. The mom and dad had one bedroom. The five girls had the other bedroom and the five boys slept in hammocks (in the living room), which were rolled up and put away each morning.
