This is photo #43 (of 50) in a series about life in Brazil. Last month was “Festa Junina” month with many parties to celebrate several Catholic saints. The parties are mostly family-friendly with square dancing and people dressed up like country bumpkins. Some FM churches hold alternate celebrations (like U.S. churches that do “Trunk-or-Treat” for Halloween.) These pictures are from our Luziania church; the Barbie and Ken doll outfits were being sold at a local market.
